Bharat Chauhan New Delhi ,Padma Shri awardee, Prof . Dattatreyudu Nori, ( Oncologist) appointed as International Director- Appolo Cancer Centre, Apollo Hospital group. In 2017, the Indian Cancer Congress honoured him with its highest recognition “Living Legend in Cancer Care”.
Dr. Pratap Reddy, chairman , Apoolo Hospital Group, on the event said, ” With the rising incidence of Cancer . Patients across our cancer centres can now benefit from his expertise and continue to receive the best cancer care right here in India.”
Dr. Nori will be available for consultations ten times in a year at Apollo Hospitals across the country, spending four months in India. Dr Anupam Sibal , ( Group Medical Director), Apollo Hospital Group added, ” With precision oncology , immunotherapy , targeted therapy , innovative bone marrow transplants, robotic surgery, IGRT, IMRT, SRT, now Proton Therapy is expanding the scope against cancer and is available only outside India.”
Dr. Noori is also a consultant to the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency( IAEA) , advising on the formulation of guidelines for cancer treatment in developing countries.
