Soha Ali Khan, who recently came out with her book 'The Perils of being moderately famous', has
very candidly written about her experience of 'breaking out' of a sheltered childhood through travel.
This meet and greet was organized to bring together all the enthusiastic female travellers of India
under one roof, encouraging females to travel for a good learning experience and an introspective
journey.
From backpacking alone in the Himalayas to spa-hopping in Kerala, Indian women are travelling
more than ever! The prominent full time travel influencers of India such as Shramona Poddar,
Prakriti Varshney, Garima Manocha and others had a panel discussion on life-changing experiences
to have in this wide world through traveling. The discussion further highlighted that freedom and
learnings one gets because of traveling is excellent and the “one-on- one” time with self is priceless.
Addressing the audience, Soha Ali Khan says,”It was a pleasure being a part of Women’s Day
celebrations at DLF Promenade. I love travelling and it was so amazing to share my travel
experiences and wonderful memories with the young female travellers. I truly believe in to live with
no excuses and to travel with no regrets. Travelling makes you modest and is the food for soul. Each
and every woman on this earth should travel as it will make you meet yourself. Go and see all the
beauty in the world, meet new people and have a story worth telling”
