Bharat chauhan The Five-day tournament will see participation across seven countries including Australia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan , Bangladesh , Nepal , South Africa , apart from host DCS from India.
The tournament will be hosted by the Deaf Cricket Society (DCS) at Teri Cricket grounds, Gurugram . Its a good platform for many talented hearing impaired cricketers fulfilling their dreams to represent their countries.
Sumit Jain, General Secretary, Deaf Cricket Society said, “ It is a matter of immense pride that their is a huge improvement and development of the hearing impaired in the world and we hope that with the World Cup being held here, it will bring in support that is needed to bring the hearing impaired into mainstream society.”
Stefan Pichowski, Chairman, Deaf ICC added: “We are delighted to see the enthusiasm from the teams across the world is overwhelming and hoping for a memorable event and inspiring millions more talented deaf cricketers to follow suit .”
The opening ceremony of the event is on November 23 and closing ceremony follows on November 30.
