Bharat Chauhan New Delhi , A delegation of Sikhs comprising representatives of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhac Committee, Takhat Shri Patna Sahib and Takhat Shri Hazoor Sahib will meet President of India, Ram Nath Kovind to pressurize the Union Government for constituting SIT to probe the conspiracy of 1984 incident of attack at Shri Akal Taskhat Sahibb and Shri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar killing thousands of innocent Sikhs.
Sirsa said that no example is found in the history like killing of innocent people in 1984 during Blue-Star Operation. Nationals of a country were never killed in such a barbaric manner that their religious places were bulldozed. This had happened on martyrdom Day of Guru Arjan Devji.
The DSGMC president said that just imagine attack at a mosque on the day of Eid, attack at a Church on the Day of Christmas and attack a temple on the day of Krishan Janmashthami. What will happen to the community concerned if this has happened with its people. He said people of the country were fired at by army of their own country and firing was done at Guru Granth Sahib in Shri Akal Takhat Sahib and Darbar sahib.
Holding responsible to ex-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for conspiracy of the attack, the DSGMC president said that to win the 1985 Lok Sabha election Indira Gandhi had made Sikhs escape goat. This was done to get the vote of majority community. For the attack Indira Gandhi had taken help from Margaret Thacher government of UK and the government of Russia. Had it been done by any other government, minimum loss would have been kept in view but Indira Gandhi had done this for committing maximum loss in mind. The government had chosen martyrdom Day of Guru Arajn Devji for the attack so that a large number of Sikhs were killed.
Sirsa said that this is very shocking that 35 years have passed but not a single leader of the country does raise the issue that how a community that gives a message of brotherhood was mercilessly attacked. Neither anybody raised the issue nor made effort to expose truth behind the attack. A commission was constituted after the death of Hitler and the accused were punished. Accused were brought from Maxico and were punished. But in our country neither anybody expressed sadness nor apologized. Apology was a distant issue for Congress they were busy protecting the accused.
Sirsa said that representatives of the DSGMC, SGPC, Takhat Shri Patna Sahib and Takhat Shri Hazoor Sahib will be meeting President of India on June 7 demanding to constitute a commission to probe the 1984 killings. We will also demand for SIT under the Chairmanship of sitting judge of Supreme Court to probe the case and made the documents concerned public. The delegation will also demand for compensation for the defence personnel who had left their jobs in protest against the attack at Akal Takhat sahib and Darbar Sahib. The delegation will also demand for compensation to those who were killed during the attack.
Sirsa said involvement of Gandhi family should also be enquired as during the attack, Sonia Gandhi was living with Rajiv Gandhi. Sirsa said that had anybody encouraged Indira Gandhi for attack at darbar sahib should also be inquired.
When asked had he accept that Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was a terrorist, Sirsa said that no case was registered against Bhindranwale. He was raising the vice against injustice for Sikh community.
Sirsa said if there is any top terrorist he is Sajjan Kumar, Jagdishj Tytler and Kamalnath who were involved in killing of innocent Sikhs in 1984.
