ST. ANTHONY’S COLLEGE PANEL DISCUSSES FUTURE OF INDIAN JOURNALISM & MEDIA – SHILLONG

Bharat chauhan SHILLONG- The Media Club of St.Anthony’s College and Crystal India
Foundation ISO 9001- 2015 certified International NGO organized an
interactive session on the topic ‘’Intellectual Property Rights’’ and
the future of Media & Journalism in India on Saturday. Shri. V.N
Sehgal former CBI Director ( Forensic ) was the key speaker of the
interactive session. It may be also mentioned that Shri. Sehgal has
over more than 200 scientific publication to his credit and has worked
profusely on different fields of forensic science including bank
frauds . signature forgeries , documents fraud and high level VIP’ S
murder cases.
He also shared his experience of crimes , investigations and the role
of Journalism in Indian context. His books Question Answers
Criminology & Forensic Science & Forensic Science in Criminal
Investigation & Court Evidence has become highly popular in National
& International markets.
Mr. Gyan Prakash a Senior Journalist and the National President of
Indian Journalist Compendium also highlighted the future of Journalism
and media in India.
He also encouraged students political stories and talked about the
nuances of political reporting citing various examples of reporting
Parliament sessions. Mr. Y. Venkat Reddy , Director, Crystal India
Foundation and Reddy Films Production thanked HOD of media department
and all the faculties for giving us a platform to share such an
important & current topic in the midst of the students .
