AISA along with other organisations in Delhi University continues to fight against the discriminatory and faulty admission process of the University. The students faced many problems on the online portal, while the fees being increased in almost every college. The registration fees for OBC category has seen a drastic increase and is placed at 750/- whereas as the EWS category pays 300/- the criteria for both being an income of below 8 lakh per annum.
AISA called a protest on 7th June, then again on 11th, 14th taking a promise of administrative meeting on the issue. On 17th June, we were told that no meeting took place and extended the guarantee for another 2 days.
Seeing disappointment again on the 19th, students decided to take up the method of hunger strike.
From today (20th June), Amarjeet from AISA with six other students began the hunger strike and shall continue until the VC comes out and talks to the students.
