Bharat Chauhan New Delhi ,The society of Young scientists of All India Institute of medical sciences as organized a run for a Swachh Bharat and Single-use plastic-free AIIMS campus. The sys of AIIMS has given the name of this event as SYSTHON -2019, the event was categorized into 2 formats of run i.e 3k and 5k the three was kept for only for girls and 5k categories was open to all. Ms Shreyasi Singh Gold Medallist in shooting CWG 2018 and Arjuna Awardee was present. T-shirts were distributed to the participants comprising the logo of SYS and its premium sponsor i.e. AIIMS KAYA KALP. The event was monitored by several volunteers and recorded. Health drinks, refreshments, first aid, ambulance service was also available for the event to live to monitor and for the flagged of the run.Approximately, more than 450 Participated in the run. The venue of Award ceremony was AIIMS Quadrangle was where are distribute by distinguishing delegates and faculty members of AIIMS. Mr Madan Lal, former Indian cricketer and member of Indian cricket team 19983, was the chief guest of the events and distributed the awards to the participants along with Shreyasi Singh.
The Event Started, with the welcoming of Chief Guest, the special guest with other faculty members on the stage and followed by lamp lighting. Chief guest, special guest and other faculty members including Prof. K. K Deepak Head of Department of Physiology, Prof. S. B Gaikwad Gymkhana Chairman AIIMS, Dr Sanjay Rai Prof. Community Medicine AIIMS, Dr Hitender Gautam Asso. Prof. of Microbiology, Mr Gagagn Sethi Senior Sports Editor Ajj Tak, Mr Mayank Madhur Directors Sunrise media PVT.LTD has also delivered the Medals to the winners.The chief and special guest has addressed the participants from the stage and encouraged their spirit for this event. As the main theme of the event was single-use plastic-free AIIMS campus, thus no plastic and single-use plastic was used in the event. The water and health drinks were served in paper glasses to the participants which were appreciated by all the delegates and participants. The organisers have also taken the initiative to collect a small token of money which was later handed over to AIIMS Swachhata funds. The organising committee including Lal Chandra Vishwakarma, Chairman SYS, Sonu Tyagi, Financial Secretary, Alok Yadav, Sports Secretary, Anshul Sharma, Member Organising committee and Dr Vivek Dixit, Sr. Scientists and member, Organising Committee were the key organisers of this event.The event ended with a tree plantation for the legacy of Society of Young Scientist, AIIMS New Delhi Vote of thanks by Dr Vivek DixitAll the delegates were facilitated by SYS executive.
