Prime Minister NarendraModi on March 24 announced total lockdown in the country from midnight tonight in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus.
“From 12 o’clock tonight there will be a complete lockdown across the country,” said Prime Minister Modi during his second address to the nation within days. “With folded hands, I appeal to people not to go out of their homes,” he added.

The coronavirus infection spreads from person to person in close proximity through droplets of bodily fluids – such as saliva or mucus. These droplets from an infected person are dispersed in the air or on surfaces by coughing or sneezing and then can infect others who come in close contact with an infected person or pick it up by touching infected surfaces and then their face.
