New Delhi, 8th April. In view of the increasing infection of Corona pandemic in Delhi, today meeting was held between Delhi BJP President and MP Shri Manoj Tiwari, MP Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, Shri Pravesh Sahib Singh, Shri Gautam Gambhir and the Chief Minister of Delhi Shri Arvind Kejriwal through video conferencing. In this meeting, the MPs, shared the problems of their regions, put many suggestions before the Delhi government to deal with the crisis due to Corona pandemic and said that all the MPs of Delhi are willing to stand together and serve wherever the Delhi government needs.

Delhi BJP President Shri Manoj Tiwari put forward the complaints received by the people regarding the food prepared in the kitchen of the Delhi government in front of Chief Minister Kejriwal and asked to take action on the matter at the earliest. Shri Tiwari said that there are many people in Delhi who do not have ration cards and do not know how to withdraw e-coupons through the portal, due to which many people are giving them e-coupons with money. We will have to monitor such people with the help of NGOs, so that the poor can get e-coupons to take ration and this rigging can be stopped. The whole country is trying to overcome the crisis due to Corona pandemic these days and all the parties are working above the politics to deal with this epidemic on their own level, so any kind of political rhetoric made by politician is inappropriate and indecent.

Suggesting the use of the MLA fund in the fight of corona panidemic, Shri Tiwari said that all the MPs of Delhi havr put their MP Funds to remove the corona virus sting from the country. If the MLAs of Delhi also cooperate in this, then this will helpful for the people living in Delhi.

Shri Tiwari said that in the time of this crisis, Delhi BJP also wants to give its support in the kitchen where food is being prepared for 10 lakh people from Delhi government but is not able to do so due to lack of information. Therefore, it is necessary for all MPs to have knowledge of the centers where food is being prepared. In view of the increased corona infection in Delhi due to the people of Jamaat, the Delhi government should take the stern decision so that other people also get lessons from it and do not disregard the lockdown and protect themselves and their families from the corona epidemic infection.

Suggesting the Delhi government to release the stalled funds of the three MCDs with immediate effect, Shri Tiwari said that in view of the security of the people of Delhi, the entire Delhi is locked down and all the people are safe in their homes but the municipal employees are on the roads and engaged in the service of Delhi. In such a situation, it is necessary that due to lack of funds, the work of the municipal employees to keep Delhi clean should not be affected.

Shri Manoj Tiwari also informed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal about the cooperation of Central government for the people of Delhi. He told that 46 lakh people in Delhi were given Rs 690 crore through Jan Dhan Yojana. Through the Ujjwala scheme, the Central government is giving Rs 836 crore to the people of Delhi, so the cylinder will be given free for the next 3 months. An additional pension of Rs 243 crore was given to senior citizens, handicapped and widow. Ration is being distributed free of cost to poor people at a cost of Rs 768 crore. In total, the assistance of Rs 2537 crore is being given by the Central Government to the people of Delhi.

MP Smt Meenakshi Lekhi suggested some companies which are providing PPE kits to meet the shortage of PPE kits for medical staff. Smt. Lekhi said that all the MPs should be aware of the authorities, In-charge ans officials who are arranging food or essential items for the people on behalf of the Government of Delhi, so that MPs could also provide correct and concise information for necessary assistance to the people of their parliamentary constituency. Smt Lekhi also suggested to the Delhi government to use 3-4 thousand crore fund of construction cess for prevention of corona pandemic in Delhi.

Expressing concern over the closure of Karol Bagh’s Jan Kalyan Hospital, Smt. Lekhi said that it is very surprising that during the Corona pandemic, the hospital is being closed where many people come for dialysis. There are many patients who need beds, in such a situation, the information of the Regional Officer and Dialysis Center of the Health Department of the Government of Delhi should be with the MPs so that people can get help in time. People are having trouble registering on the online link for rationing, for this also some other measures need to be taken so that no one will be deprieved of the ration. Delhi needs to be sanitized at a higher level, for which the municipal employees are working, in such a situation, more funds should be provided by the Delhi government along with the release stalled fund and more vehicles should be given to them.

MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri requested not to do politics in the crisis arising during the Corona pandemic and said that at present, all the states are fighting the Corona pandemic at its own level and the state government is working to keep people safe in such a situation so all State governments should be equally appreciated. Shri Bidhuri said that fire brigade vehicles could be used to sanitize Delhi and in view of increasing cases of infection, the stadium of Delhi Government could be prepared as an isolation center.

Informing Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal about the problem of water in LNJP Hospital, Shri Bidhuri said that the matter should be investigated as many eyewitnesses have reported that there is shortage of water and other facilities for patients there.

Member of Parliament Shri Pravesh Sahib Singh said that the Delhi Government should appeal to the people of Delhi that people associated with Markaz themselves came forward and give their information so that they can be treated and saved in time and possible treatment will be given to the people who come in contact with them. Giving his suggestions on ration distribution, Shri Singh said that due to Corona pandemic, poor people are being affected in Delhi. Delhi government has enough funds from which it can provide ration to everyone by abolishing the online formality for such a ration for 1 month.

Giving suggestions about the health system of Delhi, MP Shri Gautam Gambhir said that the hospitals of Delhi Government will have to make their preparations more robust to deal with spike in cases of Corona and stock all health related equipments.

Putting the problems of small industrialists of Delhi in front of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Shri Gambhir said that small industries have faced many difficulties during lock-down, so that their electricity bill for 2 months should be waived be Delhi government.
