550 Delhi Sikh pilgrims will visit Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Pakistan for ‘Baisakhi Yatra’ on April 2020

Sikh devotees will leave from New Delhi on 11th April and will return on April 21,2020.
Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee have asked Sikhs devotees interested in undertaking a pilgrimage to the Sikh shrines in Pakistan, on the occasion of Baisakhi in the month of April, to deposit their passports with DSGMC by Feb 15,2020.

He said that both Sikhs and Sahajdhari Sikhs those living in National capital New Delhi having valid identity proof like Adhar card ,Pan Card etc and having India passport with at least one year validity can deposit their duly filled application in DSGMC office on any working day in working hours between 9.30 A.M morning to 5.30 P.M evening at yatra counter in DSGMC office , Guru Gobind Singh Bhawan situated in Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib Complex New Delhi by Feb 15,2020

Sikh devotees will cross Attari Border on 12 th April and will reach holy shrine at Panja Sahib through special train on the same day . The sikh pilgrims will celebrate Baisakhi at Gurdwara Panja Sahib on April13 and April 14,2020 following which they would leave for Nanakana Sahib through special train on 15 th April and will pay obeisance at Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Sacha Sauda, Gurdwara Dera Sahib (Lahore), Gurdwara Rori Sahib (Aminabad) and Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib (Narowal),Janamsthan Guru Ram Dass Ji, Shahi Kila ,Smadhi of Maharaja Ranjit Singh ji and other Local Sikh Pilgrims /heritage sites before returning from Lahore to Amritsar on April 21.

Each pilgrims is required to pay visa processing fees of Rs 200(two hundred only ) with four latest passport size photographs and valid identity proof and Indian Passport having one year validity said Manjinder Singh Sirsa President Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee here today .

He said that required documents will be deposited with external affairs ministry by 25 th Feb 2020 which will be forwarded to Pakistan High Commission and the pilgrims will be provided visa after neccessary secrutinity by Indian as well as Pakistan Agencies .

.He said that DSGMC will also send ‘gutkas sahib ’, cloth for Nishan Sahib and other religious books for Sikhs of Pakistan. He said that DSGMC had borne all expenditures of the sikh devotees for Baisakhi Yatra during last three years in commemorations of 550 th birth anniversary of Founder of Sikh Religion Guru Nanak Dev ji

This year a total Quota of 3000 pilgrims have been allocated from Indian side out of which state wise quota has been fixed .The Punjab has been allocated maximum quota of 1800 pilgrims followed by Delhi (555 pilgrims) and Haryana (200 pilgrims) while West Bengal has ben allocated minimum 5(five pilgrims) qouta .He said that state wise Andhra Pradesh has been allocated the quota of 25 pilgrims while , Bihar (14 pilgrims),Gujrat (15 pilgrims),Chhattisgarh (20 pilgrims), Haryana (200 pilgrims), Himachal Pradesh (15 pilgrims), Jammu and Kashmir (40 pilgrims),Jharkhand (16 pilgrims), Karnataka (10 pilgrims), Madhya Pradesh (10 pilgrims), Maharashtra (90 pilgrims), Odhisha (10 pilgrims), Punjab (1800 pilgrims),Rajasthan (50 pilgrims),Uttar Pradesh (35 pilgrims), West Bengal (5 pilgrims), Chandigarh UT (45 pilgrims), and National Capital Delhi (555 pilgrims) quota has been allocated by Baisakhi Purb in Holy Shrine Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Pakistan said Manjinder Singh Sirsa President Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee here today
